Training Classes

Classes are held in the basement of St Martin's Episcopal Church, located at 1095 E Thacker St, Des Plaines, IL. All of our classes use positive reinforcement training techniques and prohibit the use of prong collars, choke chains, and electric collars. Class sizes are kept small to allow individual attention to all students. For class length and cost please see the link below.

PLEASE NOTE: If your dog has a history of barking and lunging at other dogs that cannot be interrupted, or any history of aggressive behavior towards humans or dogs, you will need to schedule an initial behavior consultation before signing up for group classes. Good Manners (Basic Obedience) Class (for dogs over 5 months):

This class is appropriate for dogs over five months old. Dogs will learn sit, down, stay, come when called, walk politely on leash, and leave it, among other things. We will also discuss changing behaviors such as jumping, counter surfing, and excessive barking. Class is 5 weeks long with each class running approximately 50 minutes.
